WE NEED ASSISTANCE TO BUILD SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR THE MATOPENI SLUM

Matopeni is located in east Nairobi , Kenya. 66 percent of the residents live
below the poverty line. Death through HIV/AIDS and very early marriages are on the rise. The community gets no government assistance at all. Local people through help from the Boston "selfhelp" group started a school (Boston children centre) in a tined strutcture for the local children. International volunteers helped to build a new permanent primary school that was build in between 2008-2009 and now caters for  350 Matopeni children. A secondary school that will benefit the older orphan children that graduates from primary schools is now urgently needed.
The site for the secondary school has been identified and donated by the community. Building plans as well as a budget for the building is ready by now.The intention of this project is to build a secondary school that will help orphaned vulnerable children to get more education and a better future. It will also work to prevent very early marriages, early pregnancy, prostitution and criminality among the children. Contributions to this project will go directly to benefit the children
